Disclosures
The things you should know before you send a request — written plainly, in one place.
We are not a lender
MetsePole is not a lender, a bank or a credit union. We do not make credit decisions, we do not issue loans, and we do not set the amounts, rates or fees you are offered. We share the request you submit with lenders and lending partners in our network. Any agreement you enter into is between you and that lender.
No guarantee of an offer
Submitting a request does not mean you will be matched with a lender or receive an offer. Each lender decides independently, based on its own criteria and the information you provide. We cannot influence that decision or tell you in advance what a lender will do.
Cost of borrowing
The cost of a loan — the annual percentage rate (APR), interest, origination or administration fees, late fees and the repayment schedule — is set by the lender you choose, not by MetsePole. Costs vary by lender, by loan type, by your state and by your own circumstances. Before you sign, the lender must give you a written agreement that states the full cost of the loan. Read it in full, and do not sign anything you do not understand.
What it costs to use our service
Submitting a request through the site is free. We never charge you a fee for connecting you with lenders, and no fee for our service is taken out of a loan.
How we are compensated
When a lender or lending partner works with a request we pass on, they may pay us a fee. That compensation may affect which partners are in our network and the order in which requests reach them. It does not change the terms a lender offers you, and it costs you nothing.
Credit implications
Lenders decide what checks they run. Some use a soft inquiry that does not affect your credit score; others may run a hard inquiry with one or more credit bureaus, which can affect your score. A lender must tell you which checks it performs. Missing payments, paying late or defaulting may be reported to credit bureaus and can damage your credit.
Late payments and non-payment
Late or missed payments may result in additional fees, collection activity and negative credit reporting. Renewing or rolling over a loan usually increases what you pay overall. Your lender's agreement sets out its policy on late payments, renewals and collections — check it before you borrow, not after.
Availability
Our service is intended for residents of the United States. Loan availability, amounts and terms differ from state to state, and lenders may not operate in every state. Some states do not permit certain types of short-term credit at all.
Borrow responsibly
Short-term credit is designed for short-term needs. It is an expensive way to cover ongoing shortfalls and is not a substitute for financial advice or a long-term plan. Before borrowing, consider a payment plan with the company you owe, help from a local assistance program, or free guidance from a nonprofit credit counseling agency.
